Tanya Taylor

Tanya has been a member of the Free-Rain family for 10 years. She has been a part of the costume team helping to bring the Director’s vision to life for the majority of Free-Rain’s productions during that time including Wicked, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, 42nd Street, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Priscilla and Spamalot. Her first venture into costume design was the 2023 production of Steel Magnolias by Free-Rain. 

She was delighted to be asked to be the costume designer for Billy Elliot. A highlight has been bringing the 80’s fashion back to life and remembering what was worn back in the day. She would like to thank Fiona Leach for her guidance and support costuming such a large cast. This would not have been possible without the dedicated team of volunteers who make up the costume team. Tanya is grateful to Fiona Leach, Jennie Norberry, Sandy Cassidy, Mercedes Ellis, Sam Inall and Nicole Taylor for their friendship and willingness to spend countless hours putting together the costumes you see on stage today.
