Kelly Roberts
Kelly has been active in theatre for the past 20 years, most recently appearing onstage in Canberra shows such as Chicago (Velma Kelly), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), Into the Woods (Witch), Evita (Evita), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), The Witches of Eastwick (Jane), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), and Les Miserables (Fantine).
Kelly is originally from California and studied classical voice for three years at the University of the Pacific Conservatory before moving to Australia in 2007. In 2011 Kelly received a certificate of Musical Performance from NIDA and holds a bachelors degree in Drama and Psychology from ANU. Kelly is now a Drama teacher at Dickson College and loves being able to put her theatre experience to use behind the scenes as well.
Kelly has also directed numerous productions in the Canberra community. Kelly co-directed with Grant Pegg Phoenix Players’ critically acclaimed production of Spring Awakening, Heathers (Dramatic Productions), Assassins (Everyman Theatre), Dogfight (Dramatic Productions) and Romeo and Juliet (Canberra Rep) with co director Chris Zuber. Kelly can’t wait to get back onstage with the incredibly talented cast of 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress.
