James is a highly versatile and sought-after director and choreographer with extensive experience in theatre production. Holding a Bachelor of Design (Distinction) from the Whitehouse Institute, he combines creative and technical expertise with a deep passion for the performing arts. , His commitment to nurturing young talent was demonstrated during his five years as Associate Director and Tutor at Hunter Drama, where he mentored emerging artists.

James’s impressive performance background includes dancing as a finalist in the USASF Dance Worlds in Orlando, Florida, and performing at Disneyland and Universal Studios. Recent roles include Mr. Braithwaite in Billy Elliot for Free-Rain and an Angel in Kinky Boots for Packemin Productions. Notable roles also include Chistery in Wicked, Neleus in Mary Poppins, and the lovable Squeegee Man in RENT. He has featured in ensemble roles in productions such as Spamalot, Funny Girl, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hairspray, The Phantom of the Opera, and Grease.

In directing and choreography, James’ highlights include, Disney’s The Little Mermaid (SYMT 2023), Peter Pan (Hunter Drama 2019), Spamalot (The Very Popular Theatre Company 2021) Rock of Ages (Hunter Drama 2019), Chicago (Hunter Drama 2018), Wicked (Metropolitan Players 2016), and Shrek (Hunter Drama 2016).
