Darcy Kinsella
Darcy is a performer, creative, and musician who has been on Canberra’s stages for nine years. He is thoroughly enjoying working on an Australian show because it means he doesn’t have to learn an accent for once.
In 2023, Darcy appeared as Patsy in Monty Python’s Spamalot with Free-Rain Theatre Company, for which he won the Ovation Award for best supporting performance in a musical.
Darcy made his Music Director debut in 2023 as Assistant Music Director on Canberra Philharmonic Society’s CATS alongside Alexander Unikowski. Darcy will also be the Music Director for Canberra Philharmonic Society’s 2025 production of The Addams Family. He also recently assisted as the vocal coach on ANU MTC’s production of The Addams Family in August. Darcy is taught by vocal coach Sharon Tree at Glengrove Studio.
Darcy’s other onstage credits include American Idiot (Tunny), Footloose (ensemble), School of Rock (fill in Mr Mooneyham and ensemble), Jersey Boys (Bob Gaudio/Nick DeVito understudy and house band ), The Producers (Roger’s Team and ensemble), and Beauty and the Beast (ensemble), as well as numerous shows with MacKillop College and a collection of shows that could not be staged due to COVID-19.
