Alissa Pearson

Sweet Charity is Alissa’s first musical with Free-Rain, after dramatic roles back in the day as Isabella in Wuthering Heights and Lydia in Pride and Prejudice (twice!). Alissa has been performing in the Canberra region since her first show Oliver! nearly thirty years ago. Memorable roles include Ariel in Footloose, Mimi in Guys n Dolls, Estelle in the Full Monty, Helen Brûlée in the locally written Sanga Hill, Lady Larkin in the children’s musical Once Upon a Mattress, as well as numerous wacky and colourful dinner theatre characters.

More recently, she was Cheryl Kernot in Queanbeyan Player’s production of Keating! The Musical, which earned her a CAT Award. By day, Alissa works as a Creative Arts specialist teacher, sharing her love of music, drama and the arts with the next generation.
